Story About Indonesian Corn Coffee

Coffee drinking has become a tradition among Indonesian such a long time. The fact that it's related with it's long historical ''red'' report  about coffee plantation in Indonesia.

Since coffee became one of mainstay commodities Dutch East Indies colonial government , the beans produced by growers almost all exported .  Low quality and non-exported beans are given to the native workers as beverage. However , because coffee is so precious back then, the native usually adding the corn.

Sometimes they use corn as substitute for coffee. By roast the corn to black then ground it and served as a beverage like coffee. The taste is of course far from the taste of the coffee. But this don't affect them, because the importance is it felt equally bitter, like coffee. This tradition that keep some of traditional cafe served coffee mixed or substituted with corn. 

Unfortunately , corn coffee is not so accepted in the tongue of coffee lovers today who favoring the authenticity of the taste of coffee. But , do you know that corn coffee is recommended as healthy alternative ?

Caffeine intake triggers the fight-or-flight mechanism in our bodies. When the fight attack mode wears off, panic attack starts. We get nervous, jittery, sweaty, and shaky. Caffeine is also addictive so once we get into the habit of getting our caffeine fix, our body begins to crave the boost that we get from it. If we fail to get the dose of caffeine that our body has adapted to, we become irritable, tired, and even depressed,”  
As he given the caffeine side effect, he advised to try coffee corn which the healthful benefits come from it's being packed with vital nutrients such as providing energy, growth and development yet to regulate bodily functions. He claims that although some of the benefits will reduce after roasting and grinding process but the essential nutrients are still there. 



Since corn coffee is caffeine free and yet healthier than average coffee, He continue state that It can control diabetes, prevent cardiovascular disease, lower hypertension, reduce cholesterol level, minimize risk of colon cancer, and prevent neural-tube defects in infants.

So, with this explaination would you have a mind to try this corn coffee?
