EXPECTATION VS REALITY : WHEN YOU START WORK AS AN EMPLOYEE FOR THE FIRST TIME

‘’ *SIGH … Oh dear God !‘’ , that’s an expression of mine when starting write this article. I don’t know why I suddenly come up with this title to begin with, but then again this could be a sign of my disappointment  and I just really like to write this on my blog.

But make no mistake, I’m not saying that I hate my job or ensure your first job is something you’ll be regret.  Alright, how should I put this, I’ve graduated from university a year ago after 5 years  and the fact that having a first job was GREAT, I tell you that J. Just imagine you can buy stuff that you want with your own money and start living independently.

 Yet the truth  is it  just  for temporary, and it’s not my motive to break you on this but I suggest don’t bring too much expectation when you hired as an employee for the first time. In reality all those expectation you seek won’t be as good as anybody would said. Probably you might be end up to some of these situations.

WORK PLACE

The office where you’ll be working would be as nice, cozy and ‘’instagram-able’’ as google. Have you ever watch “ The Internship ‘’ ? If not, I suggest you watch it. You’ll know it’s like heaven on earth being one of the employee in that company.

Well, hope you’re not Lebron James. Because the only place you’ll be working as first timer employee would be like 60 to 110 sq.ft. area of cubicles per person, brights with fluorescent light and complete with the sound of a dead soul.

THEY WILL PAY YOU A LOT

Expectation :

As you start working at company, an expression of ‘’It’s time to make the big bucks’’ will  cover your face followed by a whisper of greed. ‘’ I’m going to be rich. Rich beyond my wildest dreams!’’.

Reality :

Well, after you received your ‘’hard work’’ payment. You’ll be visited by two magicians called ‘’Mr. Bills & Mrs. Tax’’. They will bring some magic trick which make your precious pay cheque disappear faster before you even spend it.

BLOW EVERYONE AWAY AND GET THAT PROMOTION !

Expectation :

You show up early, put everything that you’ve learned from college, and happen to make a comment about the changing needs for the company that concerned by the CEO. Before you know it, a promotion of becoming the youngest Vice President will soon be yours.

Reality :

Boi! The moment you step in to your new office, you’ll be  asking for ‘’copies work’’. Meaning you’ll eventually doing a lot with the copy machine and people‘s there just  walks by your desk and joking about  how's the copy machine treatin You. They don’t give a crap about your degree, what matter is you get your work done. Whereas for your Boss, unlikely giving you a promotion, he/she barely know you.

Quick dialog :

You              : ‘’ Hi Bos, Just finished what you’re ask for ‘’

Your Boss    : ‘’ Good ‘’

You              : ‘’ Can I get my promotion yet, just like you promised…Dacades Ago!’’

Your Boss   : *Sudden Memory Loss*, ‘’ What promotion? And who the hell are you !? Did you even working here?’’

YOUR FRIENDS WILL ENVY OF YOUR WORK

Expectation :

When your friends ask about you work, you’ll probably boast the name of your company. Immediately they started to envy you and ask for your advice how exactly you can get that job.

Reality :

They (your friends) have more interesting and well paid job than you do, which ironic that will makes you sit in the  corner of the table, try avoiding that kind of conversation while maintaining your pride.

Reality  :

Well, I’m not say it would be impossible. But brace yourself, Lads! common scenarioes would be either they’re 40’s, married or some golddigger sluts! #Ehem

But hey, if you’re a ‘’Quagmire-kind’’ of person, Well …#GiggityGiggityGoo to you!!

HELPFUL AND EXCITED COWORKERS

Expectation :

You finally found some sophisticated yet professional team mates which will help you through the process of your carrer. You’ll be able to learn something from the experts and given enjoyable yet interesting task the moment you walk through the door.

Reality  :

Yeah, good luck noobs! The fact that you’re younger and had no remarkable reputation, you’re just a fresh meat amongs the wolves. Not a mention the drama, the cattiness, the back stabbing. Frankly, it’s more like penitentiary, You just have to keep calm and watch your ‘’back’’.

So there you have it, the actual things that might be happened the first time you become employee. But just relax, good things and bad things won’t last forever. You probably could end up hitting at bar with your old friends or probably with some random people. Cheers !!

Good Day All, and yes this article have nothing to do with Drake’s Song ‘’Started From The Bottom’’. What I’m going to share is a new beginning, a fresh start after so much time passed by that  I’ve forgotten about this blog.  So long that it was like a man who need woman’s touch. So in this article I would like to share why I finally decide to begin blogging again. This probably a ‘’mainstream’’ issues which will be felt by any blogger but I’m still going to writing it anyway.

Before I begin, let me have  a little  sip of coffee and just a drag of cigarette first :) . Alright, let’s begin !

Why I left this blog in the first place before?

Simple, I’m easily bored. To be honest, the reason I started a blog because of money. Yes, well it’s not a new issues for a newbie like me. Whereas I imagined myself could become a millionaire or better, a billionaire just like Linda Ikeji back then. As intermezzo, Linda Ikeji was well known blogger who become billionaire with her massive quantities of blog posting perday. Some article state that she almost post 25 articles within a day just by herself and she done that for 4 years straight. Well I never know her personally, so be my guest if you want to verify this.

With such a false motivation, I drove myself to create this blog and start generated lots of nonsense articles. Why I call it nonsense? Because all articles that I’ve been posted so far already posted by another blog/website which what I’m doing is just put a little modification and voila, more nonsense is served. You can check my previous post if you like, that’s the reason I’m not deleting my old post because I’m telling the facts here.

And the fact that I feel faking myself and all of you, I thought it’s no point doing this bloging stuff not to mention I’m kinda lost what kind value I can deliver if what I’m doing only repackaging what others posted. It shamefull for what I’ve done was just to get more traffic for my blog. That’s the thing that make me easily bored and without knowing it  I left this blog.

Okey, before continue, Let me have a cigarette brake first :) . And…. Now let’s begin for round two !

Why I decided to return ?

Because I’ve failed once, which is a good thing, because for what I’ve been experienced when we are failing we learned. We start to analyize, figure how to solve the problem hence come with improvement. All it takes just a will to start over from the beginning.

In a past of a couple months, before I started to write this article, I don’t have any mood for writing this blog again. Being stuck in the same old routine with nothing good happened and not to mention unnecessary drama. Your soul will slowly die. Let alone to write something legendary, you can’t even write a single word to begin with.

So I failed in my first attempt, well  that’s okay, it’s just a part of  learning process I guess. While it took some times to regain myself, I’m finally in the right track, started from the bottom, feeling the enthusiasm back and get exciting like someone who just lost virginity.

Okey, I think that enough for now. I apologize if my stories can’t give you any motivation or what so ever. Because I might be not a good role model for you, I probably still like you guys who sruggling to become the best. But to built an empire takes time right ? So we might just relax, started from the bottom, keep learning,  enjoy every process and try a new things that excite you. Who know you might found something wonderfull. Just keep the good work :)

In an ideal and completely perfect life, love must be born from sincere hearts. In fact , according to studies , romance and love are affected by material considerations.

Based on the study, today, the choice to love someone set off on a strategy to improve the living conditions associated with money and material.

This study was led by Darius Chan, a professor from the University of Hongkong, in order to understanding how psychology attraction towards money have influence on relationship. Based on fact that not everyone is willing to admit the existence of this subject. The goal is that everyone has a perspective on the relationship in which they live.

He began experimenting on college students in China who were in relationship within a minimum period of seven years. He asked all respondents to think about their partner in rich and poor conditions. 

In the first experiment where couples were asked to think about their partner has financial stability and the quality of their physical attractiveness. Then, the second experiment, they asked to see their partner in deprivation.

As the result, women who find themselves rich do not have physical standards in their men partner. Then, the second experiment showed the behavior of respondents were more easily attracted by well-established partner than mediocre one.

According to Darius Chan, on kompas.com , based on the result :

"Rich man looking for a partner who has physical attractiveness and high standard, they also chose to undergo with short-term relationship. Similar conditions were not found in men short of money, " 

"Meanwhile, women who have been committed to the relationship, money always be a factor which moving them more aware with finance condition. Therefore, the longstanding breakup considered as detrimental to their chances of reproduction, "

In short, the study summarizes that person's financial could give a significant influence on their love life. Chan explained that the results of this study do not apply to all cultures, but in general, his invention applies to human behavior today. The study results that  Chan and his team have been published in the journal Frontier in Psychology.

Cigarettes Wraps are considered not just as tobacco packaging. Moreover, It runs ads that promote the use of cigarette. It makes the product look more attractive and ignore the health warnings since the customers think that tobacco pruducts are not dangerous.

For that matters the World Health Organization ( WHO ) and the Labor Convention on Tobacco Control ( FCTC ) suggested that cigarette packs should made ​ plain and simple. The paxks will be made without any decoration, no more catchy element of what so ever usuallly exist on the packs. What remains is the box of the product which causes the death of 6 million people per year.

This new package is expected to reveal the reality of tobacco products . It will standardize by made it ​​in two contrasting colors like black and white , or color specified by the government. 

Later, in the packaging, a picture of warnings will occupy the largest size. Meanwhile cigarette brands or product names are small in size ( approximately 25 percent ), and no information about the quantity of the product.

The purpose of this plain packaging is of course to reduce the pulling effect of tobacco products, as well as limiting the effects of cigarette packs as a form of promotion or advertisement. Some studies also show that plain packaging could help improve the public 's attention the dangers of smoking and the cigarette industry is considered not to be facing significant obstacles if it increases the size of pictorial health warnings on cigarette packs.

Just now (28/05/2016), I got notice that social media were making a fuzz over a mugshot of an attractive Arkansas woman. 

Sarah Seawright, a 24-year-old woman of Arkansas,  reportedly taken into custody for failure to appear in court for  careless driving arrest on April. She found Internet fame after her near-perfect mugshot popped up all over Twitter alongside the hashtag #PrisonBae.

There some her facts which I found on heavy.com :

1. She Skipped a Court Appearance for a December 2014 Arrest for Careless Driving 

Sarah Seawright was arrested on a failure to appear warrant after skipping a court appearance related to a December 2014 arrest on charges of driving without insurance and careless driving, according to Pulaski County court records. 

According to online court records, Seawright paid a $250 fine for driving without liability insurance and a $115 fine for careless and prohibited driving. She then had the failure to appear charge dismissed and is a free woman once again.

2. She Was Involved in the Robbery & Beating of a Man in a Target Parking Lot in 2012 

Seawright has been in trouble with the law in the past. She was arrested on armed robbery charges in 2012 along with a man named LeDarius Laron Scales, nicknamed, “D-Money,” according to online court records. 

Police in Bryant, Arkansas, told a local news station, Fox 16, that the victim was walking in the parking lot of a Target store on December 10, 2012, when Seawright, who the man said he “kinda knows,” offered him a ride. Police said when he got into the car, Seawright drove around to the back of the store. 

Scales pointed a gun at him and then struck him in the head with it after robbing him of $380, police said. 

Seawright was charged with aggravated robbery, first-degree battery, kidnapping, hindering apprehension and tampering with evidence. But she later pleaded guilty only to hindering apprehension, a class B felony. She was sentenced to five years probation in 2014. 

Scales pleaded guilty to robbery and battery and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

3. She Has Been Called #PrisonBae & #JailhouseBae on Social Media & Seems to Be Taking the Newfound Fame in Stride 

Sarah Seawright’s mugshot was released and posted online by Pulaski County on May 12. It then began to spread on social media after it was featured on the website Ugly Plastic. Some social media users then began to call her #PrisonBae and #JailhouseBae. Seawright seems to be taking her newfound fame in stride, posting on Facebook, “Trending topic status.”

4. Someone Asked Former NFL Wide Receiver Chad Johnson to Bail Her Out, Even Though She Was Already Free 

Seawright’s mugshot reached former NFL receiver Chad Johnson after @httpsjhey tweeted at him, “@ochocinco bail her out #JailHouseBae.” 

Johnson replied, “Today is a day to save money, she’s gonna have to sit & think about her mistakes like I did,” referencing 

But Seawright didn’t actually need Johnson’s help to get out of jail. She was released on $750 bail after her latest arrest. And the charges that led to that arrest have also been taken care of.

5. Her Booking Photo Is the Latest ‘Hot Mugshot’ to Go Viral 

Seawright’s booking photo is the latest “hot mugshot” to go viral online, joining the likes of Alysa Bathrick and Jeremy Meeks. 

Bathrick, posted her own mugshot online in 2014, writing, “”F*ck what you heard…my mugshot’s cute.” She had been arrested on charges for selling prescription drugs and had previously been convicted of assault. Bathrick was arrested again in 2015 for shoplifting, ABC News reported. 

Meeks, who was arrested in June 2014, was able to parlay his mugshot fame into a modeling contract. He was released from federal prison in March after serving more than a year for a weapons charge.

Today (27/05/2016), as my rutine goes by  scrolling on instagram, I found this nice posting picture about ( I think ) '' living with tolerant ''. And since it is a good spot to share opinion, I would like to point out what it's mean to living with tolerance. Bare with me, okey :)

Humans are a sosial being, as social beings of course we need to be able to interact with other individuals in order to meet our needs. Living in society , an individual will be faced with groups of different colors,  one of them is religion differences.

With differences, whether it is religion, races, skin colour or social status, no wonder there alway be a fuss about it and it's okay, more over it's great. Can you imagine how dull it is life without differences?

Taking on thedreamcatch.com, here are  reasons which I agree why we should be open to understanding the differences in others:

1. You’ll learn new things and make better decisions: They say that everyone you meet can teach you something new. When we are curious about others and ask the right questions, we can learn a lot of interesting things. You never know, you might get a spark of inspiration or a brilliant insight from someone when you least expect it.
2. You’ll make more interesting friends: When we come from a non-judgmental place, other people can sense it and will be naturally drawn to you. This results in you building a more eclectic network of friends from different backgrounds. The internet makes it a whole lot easier for us to access all kinds of online groups and communities where we can meet a diverse array of people.
3. You’ll be a more progressive person: Our world is becoming an increasingly smaller and cohesive unit because of the internet and the ease of travel.
